Community Guidelines

Expected Behavior

All members of the KindRoster community are expected to:

• Communicate Respectfully: Use kind, professional language in all interactions
• Be Inclusive: Welcome people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities
• Show Appreciation: Recognize and thank volunteers and organizers for their contributions
• Respect Privacy: Protect personal information and obtain consent before sharing
• Lead by Example: Model the behavior you want to see in the community

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not tolerated in the KindRoster community:

• Harassment: Intimidation, stalking, unwelcome attention, or threatening behavior
• Discrimination: Prejudice or bias based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic
• Hate Speech: Content that promotes violence or hatred against individuals or groups
• Bullying: Repeated, intentional behavior meant to harm or intimidate others
• Inappropriate Content: Sharing explicit, violent, or otherwise offensive material
• Spam or Fraud: Sending unsolicited messages or engaging in deceptive practices
• Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else or misrepresenting your affiliation
• Privacy Violations: Sharing others' personal information without consent

For Organizations

Organizations using KindRoster have additional responsibilities:

• Provide accurate information about volunteer opportunities
• Clearly communicate expectations, requirements, and time commitments
• Respect volunteers' time and honor confirmed commitments
• Create safe, welcoming environments for all volunteers
• Respond promptly to volunteer inquiries and concerns
• Handle volunteer data responsibly and in compliance with privacy laws
• Provide proper training and supervision as needed
• Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions

For Volunteers

Volunteers using KindRoster should:

• Honor your commitments and arrive on time
• Notify organizations promptly if you need to cancel
• Follow organization policies and procedures
• Ask questions if you're unsure about expectations or tasks
• Treat staff, other volunteers, and beneficiaries with respect
• Maintain confidentiality as required
• Provide constructive feedback when appropriate
• Represent the organization positively in the community

Reporting Issues

Consequences

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

• Warning: A formal notice of violation and expectation for changed behavior
• Temporary Suspension: Loss of access to the platform for a specified period
• Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from KindRoster for serious or repeated violations
• Legal Action: Involvement of law enforcement for illegal activities

The severity of consequences will depend on the nature and frequency of violations.
